Perhaps it's not a good idea to start a blog at the end of a long working day -- especially one when I have then spent the last couple of hours booking rail journeys and hotel rooms for the next few trips I have to make.
Nevertheless, one has to start somewhere and, as I've had quite a long career of publishing missives at the drop of a hat, I'm sure I'll pick up some momentum here and be my usual self before very long.
So bear with me. This could either be the start of something great or something very boring!
